About.

From a young age, I've always wanted to be a comic book artist, but I was also interested in digital design, so I ended up working at my family's graphic design company. I used my skills to start my own business as a freelance Flash designer and coder during the early days of the Web.

I was a skilled user of Adobe Flash, which got me invited to join an agency that creates interactive learning experiences for large clients such as Verizon. This role also included design work for the web, marketing, and branding.

After that, I returned to freelancing which allowed me to provide solutions for clients in a variety of industries from independent filmmakers, international real estate agencies, artists, and entrepreneurs. These projects saw me lead client meetings, then work on wireframes, prototyping, visual design, web development, and even webmaster. My services included design & coding, Flash programming, swag, stationery, marketing design, content writing, and branding design including guidelines.

My work caught the eye of a mobile app developer who ventured into the then-uncharted territory of mobile shopping and payments. I created a customer user experience for the web app portion of their product using my interactive design skills. To make this happen, I worked closely with the programming team to make sure the designs were feasible.

Then, the major leagues came calling. HUGE Inc. was impressed by my design skills, animation sense, Flash coding abilities, and playful writing. This was a great experience working for clients including American University, Cellular South, ONE, and Warner Music Group. This role tested my skills in interaction design, web animation, motion graphics, video production, and design systems.

After HUGE, the next great thing appeared with Hunt & Gather. Coming in as an art director, I worked hard to achieve the title of creative director by the time I left. My skills included client pitches, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, branding, and management of both in-house designers and freelancers. My work varied from UI/UX mobile design work for ESPN, concepts, and prototyping for Nickelodeon, visual design for Old Spice, on-site visual design and UX for MTV, and most importantly, design work for Beyoncé and Tina Knowles online properties!

In my last role at Simply Business, an online insurance brokerage in insurtech, I worked as a visual and UI designer across teams including product, marketing, and branding. My design work increased customer conversion, retention, and brand awareness.

I am now proud to serve as a partner and designer at Blecer, a design co-op that gathers designers, coders, and artists in order to craft wonderful design work across digital, interior design, event design, advertising, branding, and video.
